Remedies/Upaaya/Free will/Karma (part 1)
Often I see a debate on remedies they do work or not ? How much free will we have? Do we have to pay for the karma we are not aware about? Can remedies change our karma?
I started learning astrology from 2004 and still learning… but before that I was skeptical about God ,Karma , Jyotish, remedies… It is always nice to examine everything with open eyes. There is huge difference between knowing things rather than believing them. You should not only convince but also it should work for you. Once I was convinced how they work there was not looking back then.
I will try to explain things as per my understanding of karma and free will attached to it, the importance of consulting astrologer and believing in remedies.
KARMA -
The actions and deeds that we do receive the fruits that we deserve….as u sow ,so shall u reap, or like Newton’s 3rd law for every action there is equal and opposite reaction….some simple phrases but it is not that simple to understand.
Translation of Bhagavad Gita 4.17
गहना कर्मणो गतिः
The intricacies of action are very hard to understand. Therefore one should know properly what action is, what forbidden action is, and what inaction is.
The law of karma is incredibly deep and complex.
CATEGORIES OF KARMA –
1) Sanchit karma – Total heap of karma done by a soul in past life known or unknown .
A) Prarabdha karma – that categories of sanchit karma which we have to reap, experience in this birth its like the crop which is ripen and ready to cut .
There are 3 types of of Prarabha karma i) Dridha ii) Dridha Adridha iii)Adridha
Dridha -Firm,fixed fated karma ,can’t be changed!
Dridha Adridha-can be changed but requires immense efforts, they called “Hathyoga” to change this.
Adridha- A clean slate u can write on it what please u.
2) Kriyamana Karma -what we do every minute in our life.
3) Agama Karma - agama karma (Sanskrit: "coming, arriving," and vartamana, "living, set in motion.") Is the actions that we are planning for the future. Actions that will or will not be achieved depending on the choices (free will)
Example – If a child is born lame at the time of birth ,its sanchit karma ,his prarabhdha karma ripen from day 1 , forced to experience ,going to a doctor and trying to fix the problem is kriyamana karma ,experiencing pain of operation therapies is dridha karma ,the pain has to be experience no matter what….
Will the surgery succeed Dridha Adridha…may be finance a good doctor facilities…not sure what he may get….result of dridha or adridha dridha…
The agama karma is his state and quality of life after his efforts to fix his lag.
Now this kriyamana karma are very imp to understand …as per my understanding we are not mere puppets by d effects of past action…we can by exertion of our will good or bad we can generate new karma …so this free will is allotted to us in past birth to create a new kriyamana karma based on our horoscope planets…
What the Jyotish is, it is light of the God ,a strong tool to look back in past karma .
If everything is predestined then why remedies exists?
A well motivated person performs sincerely the remedies while a poorly motivated person feels obstacle in doing remedy (dridha karma) the force of karma strongly discourage a person a change in direction in that area of life.
I have met many persons they want a chart reading but when it comes to remedy no one is interested or they want a short cut for that or they never come acroos remedies if pain is destined.
A great man Swami shri Yukteswar decribes the concept of free will vs destiny
“You are born on that day, at that hour and at that minute when the celestial rays are in mathematical harmony with your individual karma.Your horoscope is a portrait, revealing your unalterable past and its future results .The message boldly blazoned across the heavens at the moment of birth is not meant to emphasize fate but to arouse your will to escape from your universal thralldom .What you habe done you can undo, you can overcome any limitations because you created it by your own actions , and because you have spiritual resources ,which are not subject to planetary pressure!”
Now this is my guruji's experience in his words I m describing.
When I was running my ashtam shani ,my whole world was upside down. I was desperate for some solace to keep me calm. I was at Banglore airport one evening and decided to browse the book store .I generally read fiction and nothing else but this time I automatically drawn to spiritual section. There in d corner of the book I found “greatness of Saturn” I don’t know why I don’t know how my eyes fell in only that book as the whole book shelf is empty .I had enough time before my flight I started reading that book .That book changed my whole life.
Why did Shani helped me because it is my lagna lord and is in the 5th .He put me through the great hardship but at the same time he helped me to understand him.
Once I realized why I was suffering I calmed down. The rest was easy this is power of a remedy.
Another time, I was testing flying array for a dance event. Its old time before 2010 when they use cd for Djs.The equipment was set and calibrated. The DJ comes on stage and rather than playing song he started playing Sanskrit track. I shut the system down and asked him if he has lost his mind for a dance event a Sanskrit mantra .He said my cd case yet to come and the test cd had d cover of paul van dyk but inside, the cd got changed. I said ok play it what choice we have. One minute of the track and I was transfixed ,I could not move a muscle it sounded so good. I was in tears I asked what was the name of the track he did not know that.
It took me 3 months to track the name of title ,it was the” Totakastakama” this is when I realized mantra and beeja mantra what can they do to you. It saved me from going insane .
Remedies do work ,we must love the remedy ,the remedy will love you back!
Disclaimer-based on interest of members and feedback I will decide to write further about my experience and journey and how remedies work.
